Escape the tinsel, plastic icicles and dicey fairy lights for a night and join us for our Winter Solstice event, Birth of Fire.
There'll be a day time event consisting of talks on the sun in mythology and folklore and why the solstice is marked. There will also be a bushcraft firelighting techniques workshop. There will be an evening event of yule themed music, storytelling and general merriment. And, of course, we will be able to watch the sunrise on the 21st from the eastern edge of a beautiful natural woodland. The camping is def "back to basics" - (what else would you expect from us though, eh?), but the surrounding of a fabulous private mixed woodland are perfect. Directions to the event (which is within 2 miles of train and bus terminals) will be sent out a week prior to the event.
